Ever since I got my Evernote invite from a twitter contact, SuzeMuse. I have been testing the program like crazy. Gotta say I love it!What is Evernote? Think of being able to carry your bookmarks with you everywhere you go, but instead of just a bookmark, it's pictures, notes from cocktail napkins, website text, web notes, links, etc. With Evernote you are not limited to what you can "clip" to their site, and with both desktop and mobile versions available you always have access to your files.
There is literally no excuse for you not to be able to remember anything because Evernote is always ready to capture your thoughts, sights, or happenings and archive them for later retrieval. Once archived log into the Evernote site via their desktop client or online site and the program will list your clippings in the order they were posted. Can't find what you are looking for immediately? Evernote's search capability is amazing. You can search for file names, tags, and text inside the actual document you clipped. This part was the most intuitive search capability I have seen in any software, the ability for Evernote to recognize text inside documents (to an extent), and see it as more then just a photo.

Evernote apparently has great Mac and iPhone integration, but unfortunately I have not been able to play with it too much on those platforms. I have a standard desktop PC, a laptop, and a Windows Mobile Phone. Still, my experience with Evernote has been a resounding success.
Wondering how Evernote has worked for me?

More often than not while walking around town I don't have the ability to quickly whip out pen and paper and jot down dates off of posters, flyers, and/or banners of interest. I walked by my favorite bar the other night and saw an ad for a local music group that will be playing live in two weeks. I was on my way to catch a bus so there was little time to write all the info down, and I don't dare rely on my memory for the information, so I snapped a quick photo of the advertisement, and while walking to the bus stop I just uploaded the clip to Evernote for filing later to my Google Calendar. Now later when I get home, if I've added a ton of clips and forget what I named the file I can do a search for the band name, the bar name, and Evernote will read my tags, file name, and the text inside the photo and eventually find my file and bring it up. Priceless!
Not sure how prevelant Evernote invites are, but if you're interested in getting an invite for the beta, drop me a line.
