The Marriage of Traditions and Relationships in our Culture

The traditions we hold dear to us typically come from the relationship we had with our family. Growing up in my household, it was  not unusual for my family to host holday events based on our culture, memories that reflect on fondly. I specifically look at these traditions as part of what makes me who I am as a person.

I've become introspective recently due to the holiday season and look out to the network that I've developed and the relationships that have been built. How can I incorporate who I am, my culture, and my traditions with all of you? It's been an question that has come up from time to time, but moreso now as we approach Thanksgiving.

Using social media has been an excellent opportunity to share who I am with the online community. I use this blog to share my personal thoughts, ideas, and from time to time experiment with concepts with my readership. I'm thankful for the response I've gotten which only help to further strengthen the relationship between myself and all of you.

I believe it's hard not to share our traditions in our relationships online which begins to create a uniqe culture and interweving of the personal and the technological.

With that said, what are you sharing with your online community? You've built a network on Twitter, Facebook, or any other social network out there, what value have you put on yourself to share with others?

I never stop to look for ways to dig into who I am and how I can best share that with those I meet for relevant conversation. This holiday season reflect on that thought. As we approach the end of the year, perhaps now is the time to make goals for 2010 and find ways to connect with friends, both online and offline, more closely.
