Mother Nature Devestates, Social Media Elevates

It's times like this when anyone and everyone can see the true value of connecting people on a global level. We as humans connect emotionally, experiences link us together no matter language, background, or level of wealth. We all go through the same things, some at different times, some in different ways, but essentially we are all one people.

Such is the case right now after a devastating tornado touched down in Yazoo City, MS. As with most natural disasters there was destruction and notably deaths. A dear friend of mine, Holly Hoffman, notified me that a friend of hers had family that was struck by this tragedy and has lost everything. I turn to you the community to not only make you aware, but perhaps you or someone you know can help.

Kendra Kinnison is reaching out via Twitter and to as many people as possible, and because I love Holly and have met Kendra and know her to be a good natured, kind hearted person who would do the same for someone else, I want to see if we can't help get things going for Kendra's family.

Kendra's family had an antique store, most of which is gone, but the few remaining items are up for grabs. Every little bit counts, and the asking amount is not high. Perhaps you know someone who needs a special gift, or maybe you're looking to add something to your collection.

Be sure to follow Kendra on Twitter and take a look at the pictures she's posting. If you are unable to support financially extend your prayers, well wishes and support to her and her family during this time of rebuilding.
