Celebrate the Triumphs of Life

My second son just celebrated his first year of life in this world and it's been an amazing fight to finish this first year. From the get-go he struggled being pre-mature, suffering severe seizures, and then having to be connected to a machine 24/7 for the first six months of his life. Defying the odds the doctors gave him and shared with us, he's achieved a huge milestone, and it is that which brings my family to this point where we can celebrate all that he and our family have overcome.

On the outside many do not know what I've gone through day to day. I've maintained my speaking schedule, continue to work with clients on a variety of projects and collaborations, and continue creating content for the various projects I'm a part of. It was a heavy burden to carry and at times would tire me out completely but celebrating this entire year is a triumph that I cannot deny.

Relations to Life

Think of the many things you may have overlooked in life. Whether it's for your business or your personal life. What have you carried with you to success that you've not given yourself credit for? It's not a matter of asking for credit, expecting applause, or asking for gratitude, but rather a celebration of overcoming something that you've struggled with.

From a young age we're taught to be humble and I think as we grow older we tend to down play our successes in order to remain humble. Most of us are afraid to share our successes and triumphs because we see it as bragging. It's a sad state of affairs because there's a huge difference between the two.

Look at your life, where have you triumphed? Celebrate it, revel in it, even if it's just you taking yourself out for something special. But share with your friends and family, and don't down play your efforts. No one can recognize what you do or what you've done if they don't know you've done it.

As I celebrate with my family for all that we've been through to help this little guy achieve his first year of life triumphantly, I hope that you can find something you've achieved and make it a point to appreciate the success. You deserve it!
