I'm a huge fan of TED. The caliber of speakers and the ideas presented are unmatched. I may never be invited or afford a ticket to TED, but I consume their videos online, on my mobile, and via iTunes. Their motto, "Ideas worth sharing," rings true, because the topics are ideas that can change the way we live and think.
TEDx, the smaller sibling of the TED Conferences, is a more community, locally based event that still requires invite only, but allows you to take a glimpse at the amazing thinkers, dreamers, and innovators in your back yard. TEDx conferences are popping up all over the world, and chances are you can find one to attend.
I'm looking forward to attending the TEDx being hosted in San Antonio, and already the lineup of speakers is making this a must-attend event. I'm attaching the flyer for the local event here, but be sure to see if your city, or one nearby, is playing host to a TEDx event and apply to attend, you won't regret it.
